Pre-press Guidelines
Data for printing
Following are the ideal formats of data for printing. Data could be send on our FTP server (details on request) or via e-mail:
- PDF files
- photos and pictures in CMYK (at least 300 dpi)
Printing up to B1 format
- maximum sheet size - 1000 x 700 mm
- maximum printable area – 995 x 680 mm
- minimum weight of paper (grammage) – 70 g/m²
- maximum weight of paper (grammage) – 600 g/m² (up to 1 mm)
Printing up to B2 format
- maximum sheet size - 700 x 500 mm
- maximum printable area – 695 x 485 mm
- minimum weight of paper (grammage) – 70 g/m²
- maximum weight of paper (grammage) – 600 g/m²
Folding/Creasing
Folding is suitable for paper up to 150 g/m², creasing for papers from 175 g/m². If folding is used for thicker paper than 150 g/m² the edges might be corrupt.
Binding V1
V1 type of binding is usually used for booklets and magazines. This type of binding requires number of pages divisible by 4. Maximum of pages suitable for V1 binding is 100 if low weight paper is used.
Binding V2
Minimum thickness of binding is 3 mm, maximum approx. 40 mm. We recommend using minimum 135 g/m² , ideally 200 g/m², paper on the cover of the printed matter. If the inner pages are made of paper thicker than 175 g/m² customer should consult our specialist.
Packing
Standard transparent foil is used for packaging of smaller amounts of printed matters. Special means of packing are also available on request.
